What to expect after brain surgery

My partner had a tumour removed from his brain but since has been very anxious non stop talking about anything and everything but not waiting for a response just moving onto the next thing. He can’t sit still and due to psychosis before the tumour was identified was forced to sleep and isn’t able to breathe properly is this normal?

  • Welcome to the forum Michelle although I'm sorry for the reason you are posting.

We have some general information on our website about the side effects that can occur whilst recovering from brain surgery that I hope will help put your mind at ease but if you are still worried it may be a good idea to get in touch with his GP or medical team to get a second opinion.

Our cancer nurses are available to chat Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040 so do feel free to give them a call next week if you feel talking to them about this may help.

I wish you partner all the best with his recovery.

    Kind regards,
