Hi... my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017... in 2018 he had a kidney remived due to a cancer tumor... since tge removal 6mths ago... all was well untill the start of April when his r8ght leg started to swell....long story short this is from an increase in psa levels and what we have since found out it cancer in lymph nodes.... leg now has cellulitus and is immobile and has just been admited to hospital....

He has a uti... kidney function of 23%... what they can see the lympho nodes are affected in the groin ...around the  pelvis... stomach... and there is something showing on the liver....

Problem being dad also has irregular heart beat... and has signed a do not resussitate....

He was due i groin biopsy but tjis hasnt happened due to the infection...

This has all happened in 5 weeks... i know this isnt good news as dad has given up and onows the cancer has taken hold....

I live 4 hours away and the only time dad seems peaceful and content is when both myself and mum are there and he keeps saying thats all he needs is both of us being there...

What can i do to help him... bn told already we are talking within tge year.... any advice.plz xxx

Thank you

If he is in hospital it's best place can your mum use a phone if so get her to call you if you're needed, you'll finish up being ill if you tell work they should understand if you have to leave at short notice I no it seems wrong but you have look after yourself as well as your child what happens if you are ill, best wishes.
