Waiting on results

Hi,

we are waiting on results of biopsies from my Dad. It is believed after 2 colonoscopys that he has bowel cancer?

Apparently 1st biopsy results come bk negative but they say the tumours are malignant in appearance.

We are very confused & anxious, 9 weeks of tests & waiting & no further on.

Meanwhile my dad is failing rapidly!

Is this a normal timescale to wait?

I’m so sorry to hear of your experience. That seems a long time to wait. If your worried that this isn’t normal you can always contact your local health watch or ccg commissioner.

Thanks for replying, i know its just awful waiting everyday to hear. I think its a ridiculous time , understand it takes sometime but not this long.
