So I posted recently that I was seeing an emergency consultant due to loss of voice over a month now.
I have had an endoscopy now and it is showing thick lesions on my vocal cords. They were very white and not very nice to look at.
The doctor is concerned as to sizes and wants to perform a microlarynscopy and remove both lesions within the next 2 weeks.
Has anyone had lesions removed? Was the procedure painful after.
The consultant is concerned that it is vocal cord cancer but told me he wont know until after the operation and removal and then biopsy.
How long does a biopsy take to come back?
Anyone else had similar experiences and been diagnosed or not diagnosed with cancer.
Due to the size of them I will be having speech therapy after.
I'm still staying positive just grateful I now know what I'm dealing with in terms of the voice going and that it's being felt with so quickly.
Thanks for any help its appreciated xx
