Uterine polyp

So I got told from my ultrasound that my uterus lining is 25mm thick, I also have what looks like a large polyp and when I was examined I also have very inflamed looking cervical ectropion. 

I'm not really worried about my cervix as I know cervical ectropion is benign and I'm having it burnt off. 

But im having a hysteroscopy and biopsy of my uterus and the polyp removed. I guess I'm just worried as I've been in so much pain! , my periods are very heavy to the point of soaking my clothes, and very large clots too and bad cramping. 

Because I'm 25 I've been ignored for so long! I know I'm finally being taken more seriously. But I cant get it off my mind. 

Anyone else had all this and had a positive outcome?

    It is normal to be worried and it sounds like you have been in so much pain and have had to deal with so much. It's positive though that you are being taken seriously so try if you can to focus on that. It looks like you are now in good hands and that this will now be dealt with properly. I hope you won't have to wait too long to have this hysteroscopy and biopsy of your uterus and that you get some definite answers soon. 

    Hopefully you will also hear from other members here who have been through this before and have a positive story to share.
