Upset and Worried For My Dad

My dad who is 76 is currently on session 4 of his plannned 22 radiotherapy sessions for localised prostate cancer. 

He has developed hot flushes and has aged lots over past 4months with all the stress and travelling and appts. 

He looks tired and fed up and weary with it all which upsets me a lot. I work and youngish family so unfortunately I’m not able

to take him and he’s been getting public transport which is exhausting. 

Any words of support/advice

    Hi Marley,

    Travelling by Public transport is really draining when he is having 22 radiotherapy sessions. Most hospitals can provide a volunteer driver to pick your dad up from his home, bring him to hospital and back home again. Ask the hospital whether or not they have such a service.

    I hope that you can manage to make more suitable arrangements for your dad.
