Unsure diagnosis

Hello, firstly thank you for taking the time to read my post. Basically I have had a lump in my neck for 6 months now. For the last 6 months I have been tired all the time no matter how much sleep I have, I’ve had a change in bowel movements. My doctors ran blood tests and my CRP level is raised and I had an ultrasound scan and they said it looks like an enlarged lymph node but should I trust that it is an enlarged lymph node or should I push for a biopsy just to be 100% sure it isn’t anything else. Also my doctors said my CRP level is due to an infection but they don’t know what the infection is? Am I over worrying or should I push them to refer me for a biopsy

  • Hello Claire12398,

Thank you for posting.  I can appreciate that it must be worrying for you if you don’t feel that your problems are being diagnosed properly.  Unfortunately, we cannot help you get a diagnosis.  Only a doctor can diagnose you. If you are unsure or unhappy with the way you are being looked after by your current doctor you may want to consider getting a second opinion. You can find out more about this here

I hope you find the reassurance you need.

    Best wishes,
