Treatment for peripheral neuropathy

Hello just wondered if anyone knows a potential treatment for peripheral neuropathy in my feet . I've tried all tablet forms but as I was drinking heavy at the time what I used to get me through at times wasn't getting full benefit if any by drinking . I stopped drinking altogether and tried all meds again and now worse than ever . Anybody any advise plz so much appreciated thank you Rob.

  • My mum suffers with something called CIDP google it. She has had tablets but they had no effect. She now has immuglobulin infusions every 3 weeks and gets a good 10 days relief each cycle... ask if you can try it. Good luck

  • Hi Rob,

Have you been back to your oncologist or GP for advice? I was put on steroids temporarily which helped, but you'd need a prescription for those.

It won't help much just now but many people find the symptoms ease with time.

    Good luck

    Dave

  • Hi Dave tnks for the reply. Yes he said I have to search anything I want to try and fund myself. I saw my opp consultant n she said go see your doctor. What to do ?
  • That response hardly inspires confidence! I mean imagine if you took your car to the garage with a knocking sound and the mechanic gave that advice?
