Treatment for Lobular breast cancer

Hi peeps,

I am 48 years old and was diagnosed with grade 2 lobular, ER+ cancer at the end of June. I have currently under gone a partial mastectomy with reconstruction and then a second op due to margins not being clear. During my initial surgery my lymph nodes were tested and one was completely clear and one had a few cancer cells in.  My surgeon has said my after treatment will be radiotherapy and tamoxifen for 10yrs. They have sent a sample of my tumour off for oncotype testing, to see what the chances of reaccurence are and how it will react to chemo. My surgeon did tell me that lobular cancer doesn’t respond well to chemo. Has anyone with lobular cancer had to have chemo? I would rather avoid it but then worry that without chemo it may be more at risk of coming back.
