Tongue cancer

Hello,

I turned 45 two weeks ago feeling fitter in many ways than previous years. my diagnosis for cancer on the back of my tongue was confirmed yesterday. I have very few specific details until all reports complete will know in full at meeting for treatment plan on 3rd Jan. Biopsy taken last Monday has left me unable to eat difficult to drink and too painful to talk. My plan is to focus on Christmas for next few days until I can fully adjust. Beyond that I don't know where to start any advice is very welcome.

  • I’m sorry about your diagnosis. I don’t have any advice, but I understand the pain and the waiting. I had a biopsy on Tuesday and I’m going absolutely crazy as I don’t have results yet. Focusing on the holiday is definitely a good idea. I have 2 young kids, I see you do too from your profile. They make for a good distraction.
