Tongue biopsy

I am going for tongue biopsy this Friday.  I have been told I have stage 2 cancer under my tongue.  I have already been for CT scan, MRI and I have ultrasound in next day or so.   I wanted to know how long after biopsy can they operate to take cancer out.  I am very worried.  Any advice would be welcome

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of what you're going through at the moment. It sounds like you are currently in the process of the medical team working out what the current situation is and the next steps involved. After your biopsy there may be a period of waiting for results, at which point you should know more. I'd suggest you also use the appointment on Friday as an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
