Thymoma

Hi.  It's been a hell of a 3.5 weeks.  GP visit, Xray, CT scan, breathing test, PET scan today and Echocardiogram in 2 days.  CT scan shows likely Thymoma.  I'm in Devon - so far support is good but nothing stills the terror I feel.  Are there any statistics for the UK for this?  I've read that 1 person in every 1.5 million is affected in the USA.

  • Hi julesII,

It seems like you've had a lot of tests, but it's neccesary so they can diagnose you. I can understand it can be tempting to look for answers on an online forum, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. I hope you get your results soon and here's some tips to help cope with the wait.

    Best wishes,
