I have been recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and I am terrified
Hi Debbdoug,
I fully understand why you're terrified - a completely human reaction to such news. Do you know where in the lung it is and treatment options offered?
There are positives, if you're a woman you are likely to live longer than a man at any stage of this cancer and the position in your lung can greatly increase a more positive prognosis.
Learn what you can about this awful disease and most importantly talk to friends and family. Remember there is no wrong way to react to this awful news and a sense of fear is completely normal.
Take care
Dave
Just been diagnosed with secondary liver and kidney cancer. Got six to nine months so iknow a little about how you must feel. Just try and stay positive, live each and everyday to the fullest. I know it's hard, just a case of plodding on. Xx
Thank you for your positive responses. So sorry to hear of your diagnosis as well. I know I am on a new journey and I am lucky to have a fab family and friends for support but it is still so overwhelming.
i see the oncologist tomorrow for treatment options.
Take care
Debbie
