Taxotere

Hi everyone,I have had 3 Fec chemos.now I start Taxotere in feb.can anyone tell me if you need to still have the dreaded bone marrow injections.i had the injections with Fec and they were horrible. Any advise would be great

  • Hello Mandy-K

Like any treatment, docetaxel chemotherapy can cause side effects. It can temporarily affect the ability of the bone marrow to make these cells.

It may be that you will need to have a few more injections but the best person to answer this question would be your nurse specialist. I'm sure if you give them a call they will be able to help.

hi how are you doing with fec ?  I'm on tc chemotheraohy first one 2 days ago. Feel awful. My first bone marrow injection is Sunday so I can let you know if it helps. Been told you'll get a lot of pain in back lumber pain and I was advised to get a lavender wheat bag for microwave for heat. I got one from amazon. I'll update you after I've had mine. When are you starting injections xxx
