Hi @AnxiertyOverload. I didn't have swollen lymph nodes but I did have a suspicious lump 3 years ago and got called back and had an ultrasound and core biopsy with metal markers inserted. I waited about 2 weeks for the results and it turned out to be a benign fibroadenoma. I've actually just had my next mammogram 3 years later and have again been called back for further tests which I have tomorrow. I don't why I've been called back and I'm hoping it's something to do with the benign lump they found last time (just to check it maybe?) and not something new. Anyway, I just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your biopsy results and tell you I can relate to the waiting and worrying, but the statistics are apparently on our side.

Thanks for your response and sharing your similar experience [@nixbythesea]‍, I really appreciate it... I hope I'm as lucky as you were but worried sick re: swollen lymph nodes which is what made me go to the GP in the first place.

Thanks [@AnxiertyOverload]‍. Hope you are doing ok today. Just back from my call-back assessment at the breast screening clinic. They found microcalcifications in my left breast. I had further mammograms, ultrasound, and a mammogram-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy under local anesthetic and a titanium marker inserted. Now waiting for the biopsy results on 17th April, a bit longer than usual because of Easter. Fingers crossed all will be ok.When do you get your results? x

Hi [@nixbythesea]‍, could be better! Just got my appointment for a face to face consultation - it's this Friday. Worried sick they're going to tell me it's cancer especially since the consultant advised the persion doing the scheduling that he wants to see me this week - apparently he's off on Thursday (I tried to rearrange it sooner).

I hope your microcalfications turn out to be nothing dreadful.

I'm waiting to hear back on a biopsy taken today from my breast and lymph nodes. They told me there and then they are sure it's cancer, which is terrifying and I still don't really know how they can be sure. The growth was so small, but it's the fact they were concerned about my lymph node that's really frightening me. I had zero symptoms, it's just a first mammogram that's picked this up.
