Hi All!

I was diagnosed in October 2015 with NSCLC Stage IV with Mets in all upper Lymphnodes Doc said between 10 and 12 Months to life..Had two differend chemo's but it didn't work for me. So they started Immuntherapy Opdivio/Nivulumnab in August 2016 , 4 weeks later all my Lymph nodes did calm down and Tumour stoped growing. All good but in July 2017 they found by Mistake on the CT a 3,5 cm x 2,5 cm Tumour in my Brain...so they cut it out and since then all is fine and i can life a "normal" life.

So i hope i may can help some People on here to stay positiv!!!

That’s amazing!!
When my Mum was diagnosed with the same (advanced), she didn’t ask about her own life expectancy but asked if there were any long termers with NSCLC. The consultant looked her in the eye and didn’t hesitate to say ‘oh yes...I have some regulars that have been coming to see me for years’. ️Xx so nice to hear some positive stories x

A warm welcome to Cancer Chat, although I'm so sorry to hear what has brought you here. I am glad to learn that all seems to be fine, since you had your brain surgery.

Hi All!
Yes i'm still here lol. But one new spot on my lung was found, so i will start some radiation next week, just 12 times..hopepully it will kill it!!!

Hi pet1968 good luck with treatment. Trouble with specialists giving how long there using a list that is out of date years ago treatment has changed a lot since then all for the good. Keep fighting and winning. Best wishes for the future. Billy

Hi Petra,
I am stage 4 NSCLC , diagnosed in December, so quite new to this. I'm on targeted therapy. It's inspiring to see you have faced it down for so long and are still so strong and defiant! Good luck with your treatment.

Not same as you prostate Cancer gone to lymph nodes, spine, ribs, pelvis and a lung diagnosed Feb 2016 been on palliative care since permanent hormone therapy and cemotherapy when neaded. Also looking after my disabled wife she needs 24 /7 care she has Alzheimers and parkinsons I'm her official carer......... Billy

wow Billy you're amayzing, i do look after my hubby to, he isn't to bad yet but still, yes that's love.
