Someone to talk to

I think that for lots of people, one of the hardest things about dealing with grief is the loneliness.........feeling like you can't talk to anyone about your grief, not even your closest family members.  Often it is easier to get outside help. Anyway, these organisations might help some folks:

CRUSE BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT  0808-808-1677   www.cruse.org.uk

THE SAMARITANS  116 123

  • Coping and living with the loneliness that grief can bring can be very, very, tough but as you say Violetgirl, there is always help available and the charities you have mentoned really do provide invaluable support and guidance to anyone who is going through this, so thank you for sharing their details with us.

I can see you've offered a lot of support and advice to many of our members already and I have no doubt that your words have given them much strength and comfort at this difficult time in their lives.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Thank you Steph, that's very kind of you, xx

  • I hope you are okay Violetgirl. I've seen your name so many times in threads when you've given lots of support and advice. The organisations you shared here have helped me deal with grief, I didn't realise how much it helps to speak to someone.

I've noticed you haven't logged in for a while so hope everything is okay.
