Hi forum friends, I'm just back from getting the results from my recent surgery. The pathology showed it to be a benign mass (neuroma)! Fantastic news! The liver surgeon is now going to refer me to the thoracic specialist and he'll take it from there! I asked about time frames and it's unlikely to be before February next year, so the liver doctor told me to go and enjoy a fantastic Christmas! He also advised me to stay off work until the New Year - sounds good to me!
So, I'm sitting here, slightly bemused and letting the good news sink in!

Wow, I am so pleased for you and no wonder it's taking time to sink in. You so deserve good news for you are an inspiration to us all and have such a lovely sense of huimour.

Jo, I'm so excited for you and with you! Hearing about good news on here is so reassuring and certainly gives all of us a real lift and some hope for possibilities. Most of all though, you so deserve to hear something positive for a change, and an added bonus, you get to stay off work until the New Year. Great! Brian is so right about you being an inspiration to everyone here on the forum and it is so nice to hear your good news. Perhaps this is your turn-around for a better road to come for you.

I'm going to follow the doctor's advice and stay off work - will miss the little ones at school, but their knack for 'sharing' bugs is a very good reason to keep my distance!
You may notice a duplicate thread of mine - think I was a bit giddy and hit ' post now' twice! Trouble is, I can't work out how to delete one!

Oh wow = thats great news! You got to hand it to the doctors = they sure know how to make Christmas shine. Yes - we are over the moon for you and yours. A bit of good news. Great. You are right about school = one school down here has closed with some mystery tummy bug and sickness and every one is going round with red noses and bad coughs. I am constantly washing my hands to keep it away.. *so far so good!) but I don't to bring anything home.
