Hey everyone so I'm rather scared but can't contact gp till monday

I have my cervical screening and came back positive for hpv and had low grade abnormal cells of my cervix so I have to have a colposcopy. I've also been having pain during sex and bleeding too. Obviously I'm scared as to what's next and what it all means for me and my health.

    I'm sorry to hear that your recent cervical screening results have come back showing that you're HPV+ with some low grade cell changes. We know that many women find it a really worrying time when they get this information. 

    The Jo's Trust website has lots of information that I'm sure you'll find helpful and will give you some reassurance until you can speak with your GP. 

    Alternatively, you're welcome to speak to our team of nurses when they're back in the office after the bank holiday on 0808 800 4040, Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm. I'm sure they will be able to offer some support and reassurance.
