Smaller than pea sized lump in armpit

Hello everyone. I’m a 21 year old female, I have recently found a lump under my armpit, nearer to my back, it’s slightly smaller than a pea, its hard, immobile and painless. I’ve had a lot of swollen lymph nodes under my armpits in the past 5 months but they are always oval shaped, quite big and visable, some painful some not and they go on their own so I know what they are and what to look out for if I have one of those as I’m used to them, but this one is different, it’s really round and small so I know it’s not a lymph node. I will book a drs appointment, but wanted some opinions and advise. Thanks

  • Hi Sharna97

Sorry to hear that you've had some health concerns recently.

Have you managed to book an appointment with your GP yet? Getting this new lump checked out by the Dr is certainly the right thing to do. Hopefully they'll be able to give you some reassurance that it's nothing to worry about but if a referral is needed then you won't have waited too long.

Do pop back and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
