Small pink mark on breast.

About two weeks ago, I noticed a small, flat, pink mark on my breast. When looking closely, it looks like a group of pink capillaries. It doesn't hurt or itch and it's grown slightly over the last two weeks. I know it's probably nothing but I am worried about inflammatory breast cancer. Is this something I should get seen? Or has someone experienced the same and it turned out to be nothing to worry about?

    Hi Chappers,

Unfortunately, we are mostly cancer patients and not doctors, so I cannot answer your question. This doesn't sound like anything serious, but by all means have a chat with your GP, as we are always advised to get any changes checked out.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,
    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Chappers,

sorry I cannot offer you any advice but I am currently experiencing a similar thing.

a couple of months ago I noticed a pinkish red patch similar to what your describing on the side of my left boob just to the side of my nipple. It doesn't hurt but as it didn't go I went doctors two days ago to get it checked and I was not even in there for two minute before her saying it was eczema! I have eczema but mines itchy and usually bumpy but this is under my skin like a red blotch/veiny outline, so I'm still panicking as everything on Google points towards IBC!

the only thing I can say it just go and get it checked for piece of mind. I'm using steroid cream for a week and if it doesn't go I am definitely going back. Since I've been it's started to hurt me but I don't know whether that's psychological from me worrying!

get it checked and give us an update on what they say and I will let you know about mine too.

ps, I was reading through some of the posts on her of women with similar issues. Most of them were seen at the breast clinic and given the same advice which was - as long as there is no change in skin like dimpling, nipple discharge, the redness keeps growing or your nipple becomes inverted or changes, you don't usually need to worry.

Hope you manage to get it sorted xx
