Skin cancer question

Hi,

My mum has just had cancer removed from her forehead. Before they operated they said it was basal and that it would be fine. And that it was a "friendly"cancer....if there is such a thing. They now said it wasn't so friendly but I dont know what type it is.

Anyway he' told her she needs to stay out of the sun completely. How is this possible. She is a busy person. What sun cream is the best to use?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Thanks

  • Hi there ... my friend had something on his cheek years ago, and was told the same thing ... he had the "spot" removed, and just keeps it well covered in good sun cream as it's on his face so can't be covered .. that was 12 years ago ... he just keeps eye out for any changes or other "spots" appearing ..

Hope that helps ... but most things to do with cancer are all different, there's loads of different sinarios ...Chrissie
