its really hard to stay strong. you have to deal with the news in any way you feel comftable. i took the news hard about my brother

all you can do is be there for your sister.

i wish I knew!!! I feel in limbo since being diagnosed with Lung cancer on Wednesday 11th January.   

I have called Macmillan this morning in the hope of being able to speak to someone who might be able to just chat. Someone who could answer the question you have asked.    There were no nurses available, but, someone will ring me back within twenty four hours.   

So many question, so much confusion.  It feels quite surreal, but, it is real

Let's hope the nurse can clarify when she does ring?!   I think we will both continue to have questions for some time to come.

It's a hard thing to deal with for sure. I was diagnosed in Oct I told my family, parents and children straight away hardest thing I've done in my life. In terms of dealing with it I think you have to be strong for your sister, I want people around me to be supportive but not to be weeping etc as this won't help me. I think gemming up on the treatment, the type of cancer and finding out about support, benefits, diet etc is all practical and useful. My sister kept bringing me healthy food and green tea I have around 12 boxes of green tea now. good luck with everything . Any questions I can help with please ask
