i too had the same last year it's now 9 months on and things are slowly coming back . My taste for bitter , salty was awful the only thing I could get to taste a little was sweet. I'm just wondering if it's just your taste buds playing up like mine did. I did have the thick nasty saliva too but eventually it has got better but not back to how it used to be but better. I think it's a time game anything seems to change day by day . Hope this helps a little and keep covered up in this sun cheers superbean 

Thank you for that. I know it's only a small thing bug sometimes they worry you just as much. I think it probably is my taste buds. I can't eat chocolate anymore it feels to burn the back of my throats but that's not a bad thing stops me nibbling. I have been slapping the factor 50 on and wearing my big floppy hat.  Legs are getting brown though. Good luck with your recovery.
