Hi Ness,

I am so sorry to hear about this new shadow. I myself have had two bouts of breast cancer and know only too well the anxiety and fears associated with the second diagnosis.

I had a lumpectomy the first time, which was almost 8 years ago and a double mastectomy. As expected, waiting for the results of all the tests was the most worrying time. Believe it or not, I found it easier to cope with my mastectomies than I did with my lumpectomy.

 I have had other surgery which prevented me from having reconstruction, so I’m afraid that I cannot help you there. I guess that reconstruction has faded into the background until you get these tests out of the way.

I sincerely hope that you don’t have to wait too long before you get these tests. Try to keep yourself as busy as possible while you are waiting for the results – I doubt that you’ll find this difficult with 3 lively children!

I am thinking of you and hope that the results are not as bad as you are expecting. Please remember that we are always here for you.

Everything is fine just some swollen glands around my nipple and to the right of it. All seems normal.
