There are recommended waiting times for patients between being diagnosed with cancer and starting treatment that you can read about here. Unfortunately during the pandemic some people have had to wait longer than expected due to backlogs and staff shortages.
Cancers grow a different rates however patients needing to wait a few weeks longer than expected for treatment is unlikely to change the outcome or effectiveness of the treatment.
