Seizing of lower back pelvic bone pain and pains in my legs

Hi guys

I’m 32yr of age and have had cells at 21 in which I had burned off, I have regular smears yearly since and my last one in May came back SLIGHTLY ABNORMAL yes only slightly so I was booked for a colposcopy now bear in mind I have suffered terribly for the past 4years with back spasms excruciating periods where my pelvic bone feels like it’s breaking putting me in such a state that I would need to leave work or stay home it got so bad last year that I had to go to the doctor and tell her I’ couldn’t keep going on like this in which I was sent for a ultrasound in which she said everything looks fine that was in January this year so off I went for my colposcopy and it was a lot more severe than my smear had showed I’ve been told not to book anything for the next 6 to 8 months that it was so severe she couldn’t treat it and biopsy was taken now I’m a little worried she said the next step would be cervix removal or a hysterectomy can anyone shine some light here I’m absolutely petrified I’ve 3 young girls and a single mum

  • Hello sansan12,

Welcome to our forum. I can understand why you are feeling so worried at the moment - it must have been a shock for you to find out when you went for your colposcopy that it was a lot more severe than your smear had showed. I hope you won't have to wait long for your biopsy results and hopefully you will then get some more details about what to expect and what the next steps might be.

I hope you will hear from some of our ladies here who have had this type of experience before and that they will come and share their stories with you. It does help sometimes to talk to others who have been through this before.

We're keeping everything crossed for you and hope that you get some clarity on all this very soon.

    Best wishes,
