I'm sorry to hear about the lump that you've found recently and the investigations that you've needed to have. I know that many of our members here will understand how difficult this period of waiting for results and information can be. It's natural to feel anxious and worried about what the diagnosis will be. 

Have you been given any indication about when you might hear some news or what the next steps will be? Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for an appointment. 

It can often help to talk and so I wonder if you might find it beneficial to speak to one of our team of nurses. I'm sure they will be able to offer you some advice and support. If you'd like to speak to them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

I also have a lump in my upper arm muscle and I am now waiting on a MRI scan

Yes my lump did turn out to be a tumour but thankfully a benign one called a schwannoma. 
 

have you had an ultrasound already? I had mri, then got called for biopsy as they can't tell from mri what it actually was. The biopsy waiting for results was an anxious time. Do you have an option to go private for speed? Saying that I live in Yorkshire and even the nhs was pretty speedy. 
 

I saw my consultant last week and he's doing a wait and see approach- if it grows in the next three months- surgery will be considered. 
 

I know exactly what you're going through. I lost 5 pounds in a week I couldn't sleep or eat. 
 

also, just out of interest- do you wear a fitness tracker or smart watch on the same arm as your lump?

the specialist has sent me straight for an MRI 

so no I have not had an ultra sound 

I also replied to your other message to me about fitness watch
