Hi all.

I visited the doctor on Thursday of last week due to two separate occasions of blood on the toilet paper after I had opened my bowels. An examination was performed but since then when I am opening my bowels now, the stools are loose and don't have a great deal of form. This has only occurred since this examination so I'm wondering if it is related to that or if it is another symptom of something being seriously wrong.

    I'm afraid I'm unable to say why you have been having loose stools. But the bowel is sensitive and can easily react to physical agitation as well as any emotional concerns, so it wouldn't necessarily be anything sinister. 

    If they continue to be different from your normal pattern or you notice anything else unusual for you, do get back in touch with your GP. Your doctor is the only person who can assess and decide if further action needs to be taken.
