however lots of lunps turn out ok only 2 in 10 women who get refered get a diagnosis 

the emergency you are referring too is standard 2 week referal for ll breast lunps

It is scary isn't it. And there is a lot of waiting. I hope you hear soon when your appointment is. I left it a week and then rang them to find out when mine was. 
When you go to your appointment it will probably go see the doctor, have a mammogram, then an ultrasound, then back to the doctor. I got an indication on the day.

Of course, Lara says, most referrals do not result in a cancer diagnosis. Hope for the best.
