Hi Jolamine,

I got given a lovely bag it had lots of useful things in like face wipes and mints and moisturiser

It also had the pillow and a dammit doll...it was from a lovely group called her breast friends, I plan to do something for them in the future x

No medication, totally free of treatment.

If I had chosen the lumpectomy I would of had to have radiotherapy, so i made the right decision in the end x

I hope I can help at least one person going through this like you helped me through it x

Kind regards

Hi Hayley,

How nice to get a goodie bag like that. We never had anything like that 10/11 years ago. I'm absolutely delighted that you have  no need for any treatment at all. This must be a great relief for you?

I'm sure that your positivity has already helped some on this site.  If you stick around, you will help many more with time. As you've discovered yourself, the early stages are terrifying and, it's great to have someone to talk to about your worries.

Kind regards,

Jolamine xx

Hiya, I am ready and now, will patiently wait for the day. I am having my senital node done on the same day, having the wire inserted in the morning.

Finished the dress and was greeted with granddaughted in it this morning via Zoom. It was a pleasure and brought a tear to my eyes.

Glad you are doing really well as I have this group so supportive, and have given me a lot of strength.

Best wishes

Hi Mags,

I'm glad to hear that you've finished the dress for your granddaughter. It sounds as if she was really pleased with it when she has already modelled it for you via Zoom.

It's good to hear that you are ready for the next step now. You'll get on fine. I agree, I found this group early on in my diagnosis 10 years ago. I had some tremendous support from some fantastic ladies and gentlemen, who are sadly no longer with us. I'm sure that you will find the same.

I hope that the date for your sentinel node biopsy and to have your wire inserted is due soon, as I'm sure that you don't want to wait a minute longer than you need to.
Kind regards,

Hi

i was recently diagnosed with a large invasive lobular cancer in my right breast.  As they are nit doing immediate reconstruction I may start chemo before surgery.  Ive been advised that due to the size I will need a masectomy.
When is your surgery date?  Are you able to get reconstructive surgery?  Wishing you all the best and please let me know how you get on. x

Hiya Haley,

thanks for good wishes and thoughts.  The op went well and recovering well.  Great support from all the family.

Having a bit of discomfort under the arms, apart from that I seem to be doing well.

regards

Mags
