If you had to get a cancer diagnosis, this is about as good as it gets. DId you get answers to all of your questions today? You will find that these change from one visit to the next, so jot down any new questions as you think of them. Did they say what type of primary breast cancer you have?

Yes think I'm one of the lucky ones, although not everyone thinks that way. 

I'll soon be bouncing back to normal. And hopefully will be able to offer lots of support to others on here who find it hard to cope. Xx

you are so positive, I was the same it do help massively if you feel like this as I thought no good giving in let's get the work done and quick and get back to normal life , you will be absolutely fine after your lunpectomy it's so easy lots of people have it done in day surgery home in evening, I stayed in overnight as my consultant only did Thursday evening surgery I had my operation at 5 pm was eating drinking watching within a few hours as I do always eating lol I went home next morning and by day after I was out shopping. It's that easy peasy I promise

It hard to think of being 'lucky' in terms of a cancer diagnosis. I felt this when I was first diagnosed. However we are and there's no reason why you won't be bouncing back to normal in a few months time.

It would be great to have you here supporting others, with the benefit of your experience, once this is behind you.
