Reoccuring Bladder Cancer

Hello I'm new to this forum.   I was diagnosed  with non invasive bladder cancer four years ago at the age of 62.

Since then I have had 4 TURBT procedures and two six week courses of mitomycin and it has still returned. The hospital have been in touch and were suggesting removing my bladder.  This was a complete shock and has knocked me sideways with fear.

After telling the consultant I don't feel ready to make a decision  of that magnitude he has come back to me and said it may be better to leave it and do another cystoscopy  in two months time and if I have a further reoccurrence  to do another cystoscopy  under a blue light followed by bcg therap which I haven't had before.

My question is does this seem the normal way to proceed as I'm in total panic and what can I expect from bcg.

Regards Stephen
