I am sorry to hear you have had these severe issues with your weight. You did the right thing to talk to a nutritionist and I hope you will get to talk to others here who have experienced refeeding.

It sounds like your nutritionist/dietician is knowledgeable in this field so don't hesitate to ask him/her for further advice on this. Your medical team may also be able to guide you as to where to get treatment in the US.

I hope you find out the information you need and that others here who have been in a similar position will be along soon to point you in the right direction.

Thanks Lucie!  I'm back in a local hospital and they are monitoring me, but it is not something they typically treat.  The nutritionist is afraid to move forward with meal planning until the docs say it's safe.  The hospital internist said I could eat whatever I wanted but that's not the right approach so I'm taking it slow.  The food is good here though for hospital food.  :  0  )
