Red spots under breasts, wont go away and worried.

Hi, I'm new to this forum so apologies if I make a mistake but I'm driving myself mad with anxiety about my breasts. Earlier this year I visited the doctors about a specific spot that was under my breast and very sore, it began to bleed and pus so I visited my GP about it and it was put down to just be a boil (if i remember correctly) and I was told to dress it and keep it clean. All was well and it disappeared.

I am now dealing with a lot of these underneath both breasts that will not go away and the top part of my chest looking slightly dimpled, which has led me to now panic. I had seen my GP a few times about the spots but was always told it was nothing to worry about, but with the dimpling appearing I figured I needed to get checked out again. I check my breasts often and have never felt any lumps. I'm only 21 but the anxiety is awful and leading me to think the worst, but I don't want to keep nagging my doctors especially during the current climate.

Some advice would be great, just wondering if anybody has had any similar experience?  Thank you in advance.

  • Welcome to the forum l_sparkle although I'm sorry about the worries you're currently contending with.

Our nurses usually recommend getting any new signs or symptoms checked, so don't be afraid of going back to your GP to have this looked at. If it helps, maybe you could trying getting a second opinion from another doctor? To find out more just click here.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will share their advice and experiences with you soon but in the meantime I just wanted to point you in the direction of Anxiety UK as they have a lot of really useful information and advice on keeping anxiety at bay.

  • Hello :-)

Just wondered how you got on with this?

I have had the same issue for months where I am having spots on the side and under my boobs. They go away but then another spot will appear to replace it. They do worry me but I am fairly confident they are just spots from sweating and having large boobs.

    Thanks,

    George

  • Hello!

I have not had another appointment yet but I started showering in replacement of baths and I thought I saw an improvement until like you also said, they go away for a while then just come back?! I think it's also made worse by me being at the gym constantly now, sweating and having large breasts definitely doesn't go hand in hand so I do think it is that, as when I previously saw my doctor, I was told it was nothing to worry about. Always better to be safe than sorry!

    Thanks :)

  • Thankyou! Please do keep us posted.

I dont know if you have seen but Boots now do an online acne clinic and they can prescribe acne medication/wash that you can usually only get through your GP, so I have ordered some treatment through them, just waiting for it to arrive. I'm hoping it will help at least.

  • I will keep you posted! :-)

I didn't know that, thank you so so much I will l definitely look into this. I find myself forgetting the spots are there and then every now and again one gets sore and it starts to create anxieties again.

Hope the wash works for you!
