Recalled to breast clinic after radiotherapy planning ct sca

Hi there, i was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2020 at the age of 36. I had a lumpectomy in October 2020 and have just finished chemotherapy 3 weeks ago. I have tested positive for the brca2 gene mutation also.

I went for my radiotherapy planning ct last Tuesday and the hospital phoned Friday to arrange an appointment with the breast clinic this coming Wednesday to see my surgeon. I'm now worried they may have found something on my ct scan. I'm hoping the appointment is to discuss my brca2 diagnosis but I'm slightly concerned now.

If they have found something would I be seeing my oncologist or surgeon?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

  • Hey May,

Unfortunately this isn't a question I can answer but hopefully your surgeon will be able to tell you more when you see them tomorrow.

I hope they're able to put your mind at ease but if you'd like to have a quick chat with one of our cancer nurses about this before you go, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
