Hi Rebecca,

The first thing is try not to let your mind run away. You can only deal with what you know and where you're at. You've got a scan booked and you're in the system to get it investigated - fab. 

Top tip is not to google your symptoms; keep busy doing nice things; make sure you have emotional support from a trusted and sensible person to contain your panic; take someone to the scan with you; and check in back on here to tell us how you got on.

I am new to the forum, I have had the same issue as Rebecca (hope everything goes ok for you ) 

my GP tried to conduct a smear, but every time anything goes near my cervix I bleed. She thought it may have been a poylop so was referred to the gynaecologist. Been for my appointment today, again no smear could be performed due to bleeding so I have been referred for an urgent scan an biopsy. What was concerning is she advised my cervix was really abnormal can a consultant think its cervical cancer just by sight and feel ? I would really appreciate any advice

Again, it could be any number of things that concern the doctor. The way cancerous cells are ruled out is by taking a look at them via a biopsy. It is great that you have investigations planned - in my recent experience, it is the uncertainty, and not the diagnosis, that is the worst thing to deal with. I felt a calmness once the doctor told me what it was, and a plan was put in place.

Hi  sorry to hear you are going through this aswell.

I had loads of bleeding after pelvic exam. Do you have pain aswell? This is worrying me even more than the bleeding, it's almost unbearable

It's the fact that they can't do a smear because of the bleeding that worries me. Xx

of this? I could have written this myself!!! Had bloods, smear and ultrasound all normal but waiting on gynae? Xx
