Question

My mums blood tests came back and they've booked her in for a urgent camera Down her throat as they said she's bleeding in her stomach and think it may be cancer. How would they know from a blood test and how often would they tell someone they think its cancer and it actually not been?

  • They can tell from the amount of white and red blood cells that are presented within the blood test I believe. Additonally, doctors don't normally mention cancer unless they have a rather strong suspision that it could actually be cancer, either that or they are just warning her that it could be the worst possible outcome

Wishing the best for your mum and I hope the results come back as the best possible outcome.
