Hello Quiltlady; welcome.  Venting is good; we would go crazy otherwise so scream, rage, cry as much as you want.  I am sorry you have had a family member diagnosed with cancer. 

When you first learn a loved one has a diagnosis of cancer you are thrown into a new and sinister world; no matter that we know logically how far treatments have come in recent years and how much longer people are living; just the word "cancer" strikes fear in us.    I have had family and friends who have been diagnosed with cancer; some are no longer with us.  It is good to learn that others feel the same as you do and that you are not alone in this situation. So do keep coming here if it  helps you. Best wishes.  Annie
