Hi everyone 

I'm 43 and have a fh of colon, breast & ovarian cancer for which i have annual mammograms and take tamoxifen and 75mg aspirin as prevention.  Recently a gynaecology referral and scans diagnosed an enlarged, thickened uterus and a polyp. I have been having a lot of lower left sided abdominal pain which i booked in to a and  e for and during a rectal exam the dr found a 2cm lump left sided up near where ovary sits. She's unsure whether its ovary or colon, but its where the pain is coming from. I have an appointment with gp monday to discuss and probably be referred for further tests. Bit worried right now as most cancers hit in 40s and 50s in the family.
