I was diagnosed 3 years ago and I am on chemotherapy capsules every day..but I havent seen my consultant since a year past in November..they send appointments to me then a few days before it I get a phone call from the Drs secretary saying its been cancelled due to doctors not being available..This has gone on as I said since a year past last November.
I get pain, am so tired and have like pressure on my head all the time. This has gone in for a few months now. I had an appoingment on the 16th of this month but as usual the secretary phoned me again today to say my appointment is cancelled due to doctor going on leave..I am sick of my appointments being cancelled all the time..what can I do?

All of these cancellations must be infuriating. Have you complained to the hospital or to your GP? There is an organisation called PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) which you can find in your local hospital. This should help resolve concerns or problems when you're using the NHS.
They always send me another appointment eventually but then its cancelled. Sometimes its two months after cancellation a new appointment is sent to me.

Thankyou very much I will do..I spoke to my GP today and she said the hospital are short of doctors and thats probably why my appointments get cancelled. Though I'm not really happy with that.
