As a lady who has in the past had quite a few internal vaginal scans and external pelvic ultra sounds due to cysts on my ovaries and fibroids. I have lately wondered if they had grown again due to suddenly getting lots of right side pelvic, hip and back ache. I haven’t been scanned for about 18 months -2 years as the last scan showed they had improved enough to stop the 4 monthly scans.  My doctor sent me for the external and internal ultra sound which I had last Friday but the lady spent just 5 mins on my external pelvic scan were she started by saying she would be calling measurements to her assistant. After the scan she asked if I had bloods taken for C125. I had blood taken 8 days early but at the time I thought the one file was checking my iron levels , my doc had also decided to do initial test for bowel problems such as sample and had said iron defiancy would be tested in my blood. I couldn’t tell her about the C125.

She then went on to scan my full abdomen from under my bust, including my side and kidney areas asking me to breathe in and out often. She was regularly calling data and measurements to her assistant, which was greatly concerning. 

She then said I would hear within 5 days from my doctor for  results, I asked if I needed to have the internal vaginal Scan now and she said coldly that “ no need I have all the information I need “ 

I came out pertrified and am worried that the data called is abnormal findings, so hard to sit alone all weekend and return to work tomorrow with it all on my mind. I lost my mum to bowel cancer so have dogged the doctors a few times to be checked but they have only ever done the bowel movement sample and left it at that, never scanned me, so really concerned.
