Sitting here waiting for this radioactive stuff to move around my body. Feeling alone and very tired after a busy week. Hopefully this is the last hurdle before I get some answers.
i hope you don’t mind me jumping on the post, my das has pet scan tomorrow and biopsy next Thursday I was just wondering how long it took for the results? Doctor has already confirmed my dad has cancer so we are no waiting to find if it’s spread or what stage he is at? Wait is killing me. I hope you are doing well x
I was sent for a pet scan a few days after failed endoscopy and successful CT scan. I unfortunately didnt get results for approx 3 weeks. I think they wanted all the evidence before telling me but if I'm.honest I had already come to terms with what it was and what I would need to do. It's definitely a scary time. I dont mind if you have questions. We are all here to help xxx
After my dads ct scan the doctor had already told him he has cancer in the lung so we are now waiting for biopsy and pet scan we know what we are dealing with just praying it is manageable. I hope you are ok, sending lots of love your way xx
Hi, I waited a couple of weeks for the PET scan results & a week for the lung biopsy results as they were convinced it was cancer. Thankfully it was just inflammation which cleared up by itself in a couple of months. The worst bit is the waiting. I wish your dad and your family all the best xxx
I am 18 months post op. I suffer with acid reflux a lot. I am currently awaiting some tests for what was thought to be a hernia but has been discovered as not a hernia. My team just wanna investigate and check. I am ok all in all though. Hope you are well x
Hi sorry old post, I had pet scan on Wednesday for lung shadows found on a routine ct scan after endometrial hysterectomy, MDT rang today oncologist wants to see me lst thing Tuesday. That’s fast I’m really worried. I’m sure if was nothing would have told me on phone. That’s a fast result isn’t it
