Partners Parent Has Months To Live

I am in a new relationship of only 3 months and my partners dad was diagnosed with cancer in August last year, which i knew when we got together.  I have never had to deal with cancer or the thought of loosing a parent.  My partner has good days and bad days as you can imagine, but i am not sure the best way to support him going through this and want to be there for him.

    I'm sorry to hear about your partner's dad.

    Taking care of a parent with cancer can be incredibly stressful but I'm glad that your partner has good days in addition to the bad days he faces. And I'm sure that even though you are not certain about the best way to support him, he is aware that you're by his side and grateful for your presence.

    We have at least a few members here who are in a similar boat with their loved ones affected by cancer and I hope that soon some of them will be here to chat with you and offer advice.
