Partner waiting for bowel op

My partner was diagnosed with bowel cancer in Jan, he has had radiotherapy & chemo tablets, and is due to have CT & MRI next month, then op to follow. Before radiotherapy & the chemo the cancer was slightly coming through the bowel wall(if I’ve said that right) not 100% sure if it had got into lymph nodes, we were told they were swollen?

Anyway, question is, how long have other people’s operations been, and what have your recovery times been?

    I know you're wanting to hear from others so I just wanted to put you in touch with a few of our newer members who have been posting about their bowel cancer diagnosis. [@Deniseomel]‍ had bowel cancer two years ago and has been cancer free for a year; [@Jon]‍ had chemo and surgery and [@lindaad]‍ was diagnosed with bowel cancer two months ago so will know what you're partner is going through at the moment. Hopefully they'll be along soon to share their experiences with you now I've tagged them in this post but do feel free to look through and join in on this on-going bowel cancer discussion just here.

    I'm also including a link to the beating bowel cancer website as they have some useful information as well as an online forum just like ours that may be helpful at this time.
