  • Hello Caz1966; welcome to the forum.  I can imagine how you feel, being a mum myself.  I am no expert on this subject but wanted to say hello.  As I understand it, the vaccine does help protect against the types of HPV which can cause cervical cancer - I realise you probably already know this but just wanted to be sure.  I don't know about the urine infection but would imagine that if it was possible for it to affect the result the nurse (or whoever did the test) would ask about this.  I won't say "don't worry" because of course you will but remember that your daughter (by which I mean her age group) makes a cancer diagnosis unlikely.   You might like to ring the nurses here (0808 800 4040 Freefone) who can give you a more knowledgeable answer.  The phones are open 9am-5pm weekdays.  Annie
