Awwwwww purrfect, I dont know what to say and I'm absolutely rubbish as I'm scared out of my whits too.  Maybe they've detected something else other than what your fearing! And maybe change of diet or meds may help.

Thanks Jo - being scared is just awful isn't it? Maybe hearing bad news helps in that at least we know what's what? Don't know really I just feel sick & living alone doesn't help.

thanks - being on this site helps a lot, I don't have family/friends close by so I'm having to go to see the consultant alone - it's really scary. Normally I'm quite an optimistic person but all I can think of is the worst & how I'll cope with it.

Hi It horrible to get a call like that without them giving you some idea of what the problem is as they must know its going to worry you.Dr should have really rang you. I would call your Dr's surgery and ask if you can speak to them or if the Dr can ring you back when they are free. Ask them why they have referred you, then at least you know. Don't let the receptionist put you off speaking to your GP, if they are not in ask if you can speak to someone else, another Dr or Nurse.

Thank you for that. I have just phoned the surgery but my GP not in today but did speak to someone. Apparently my GP referred me a week ago aswell as getting the tests done. I'm seeing a gastroentologist on Saturday & so I'm now assuming I will get a diagnosis & hopefully some treatment that will put things right but I do think (regardless of normally being optimistic) that it's serious & I'm fearing the worst.  I do have an appt with my GP tomorrow morning so I hope she'll give me the results of bloods, xray & cat scan. This waiting is REALLY getting me down + I still feel unwell. It's awful
