Our little squishy

Our 11 month old grandson has an optic pathway glioma that was not spotted by the doctor for 2 months!

He now has sepsis as well and a really struggling on all levels to cope as this will be ongoing for a long time.

Nobody can understand just how hard it is trying to carry on with a normalish life. I so envy people going about their everyday lives and have healthy children thinking my you don't realise how lucky you are.

How are we supposed to keep it together, help!!!

Hi there ..

Oh bless , its really heartbraking when it's our babies or our grandkids...  how do we cope .. just taking one day at a time .. not looking ahead at what may be ... taking every problem as and when it comes up .. find a time and place to let all your feelings out ... holding them in, helps no one ...

Little ones are amazing ... and having you all there, holing his hand will really help him .. and if you do cry, in front of him or your child, it let's them know it's o.k to feel sad ... you all need to help each other through now .. no one being strong , holding everyone up ... all sharing tears, hugs, and admitting it's scary ...

Wish we had a magic wand to make things better ... but life isn't that kind ... so I'm sending you all a vertual hug... hold on in there ... chrissie xx

Hi Chriss,

Thanks for the words of support. It means a lot to know someone understands what you are going through as it feels like you are in a fishbowl swimming round and looking on as others live normal uves( I wish).
