Sorry to hear you are so worried - why don't you ask to be referred to an ears, nose and throat specialist to put your mind at rest?  There's no point in getting yourself so upset when hopefully everything is OK.   Your GP says everything is fine but you are entitled to another opinon.

I am sorry to hear of your uspet, I was diagnosed with cancer in my salivary gland on the roof of my mouth mid December.

I am 25 and have found it hard to come to terms with but am slowly healing and have been told its all clear now but i was just unlucky.

I had an operation to remove the lump and the bone on the roof of my mouth.

I only got to see a specialist for Ear Nose & throat by going to my dentist,

I was having a routein check up and mentioned the lump to him, he looked at it and said he doesnt think it is much but will refer me to a specialist to be safe,

I had an appointment within a week, 24 hours after seeing the specialist i was in for pre-operation mouth moulds so they could make a healing plate and they operated the day later.

If i was you i'd try your dentist for a check up, mention the lumps on your tongue etc and see if they can refer you, After all Dentist are more focused on mouth etc than doctors and will spot problems better as they see mouths all the time.

NHS were great with me but that was just from dentist, i dont know if the outcome from my doctor would have been delayed! from my experience doctors seem to wait too long for things like this! Better to be safe than sorry, i hope this helps? All my love.

hi it started as a lump feeling in my throat then noticed bumps on tounge i have been back to dr about 6 times since i posted this and the are sending me to ent eventually i go on monday the dentist looked at it said it was nothing , i have a horrible feeling and im so upset cant stop thinking about my kids there only 10 3 and 1 x

Hi Lorna. Thinking of you. Please keep us posted how you get on with the specialist. And please try know that in 10 years things have progressed so so much. I hope it isn't cancer I really do, but please know that treatment has advanced so much. I had fantastic treatment then 10 years ago now I bet it's even more kinder and effective. Sending you love. And most of all stay strong, a strong mindset and determination is half the battle xxx
