Open Nephrectomy on left kidney. Will I need chemo after?

Hi there. I have just been told I need a Open radical Nephrectomy for a Bozniak 3 13cm mass on my left kidney. It is contained. Does anyone know if I will need chemotherapy afterwards

Hi Mykidney,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. Unfortunately it's not really possible for anyone here to advise on this, as it will only be your specialist who can do this. I would advise you to discuss this with them at the next opportunity, so you can be as informed as possible about what to expect.

Of course if anyone else here has similar experience to share then hopefully you'll get further replies soon.
